4 Ways To Boost Your Body Confidence Every Day

As women, even when we live the most fulfilled lives, our body confidence can be something that we feel is holding us back on a regular, if not daily, basis. In a world full of unattainable beauty standards and perfection printed in magazines and posted on social media, body confidence sometimes takes a little more work than just trying to block out all the white noise.

Each morning, we wake up ready to take on the day and embark upon our various regimens and routines to get us ready for the hours ahead. If you find that your routine could do with something extra to add a spring in your step as you leave the house, consider trying out some of these super simple, but surprisingly effective tips.

Start the day with an intention or affirmation

Affirmations can be a quick and easy tool for people who don’t have too much time on their hands, but are looking for something more than a visible boost. By setting an intention, or taking a minute to say an affirmation (that can be out loud or in your head), you can shift your mindset. Stating an intention or affirmation directed at your body can have a great impact on your outlook and feelings towards yourself in the long term, which is why it’s recommended that if you’re giving it a go, to try to put it into practice on a daily basis and make a habit out of it for the best results.

Listen to music that makes you feel good

Whether you’ve got a playlist on throughout your morning routine, or you’re quickly blasting your favourite feel-good track as you’re getting ready to head out the door or start your day, music can really help boost confidence. Listening to music releases a healthy dose of dopamine, the happy hormone, and songs that make you feel empowered, sexy, or unstoppable are great for a pick-me-up when you’re feeling a bit meh about your body.

Wear an outfit you love

When it comes to clothes, there will always be those special pieces in our wardrobes that make us feel great. That doesn’t mean you step out to Tesco in a ballgown, but wearing something that you love – whether that’s a gorgeously soft jumper or a pair of jeans with an amazing fit – can make all the difference. Feeling good in what you’ve got on will make you stand a little taller, even without you noticing.

Don’t forget personal touches

If your favourite outfit’s in the wash, or you just want something extra, you might just find that the devil is in the details. For you, that might be putting on your favourite lipstick, or perhaps misting yourself with your favourite perfume to keep you smelling great all day. You might even feel a little better with a pop of blush or bronzer to add some colour to your cheeks, or even something that others might not notice, like the matching underwear underneath your clothes making you feel that bit sexier, or the luxurious feel of your skin after using that expensive moisturiser that you love to treat yourself to. Whatever these joy-bringing little personal touches look like for you, don’t forget them.

Body confidence isn’t born overnight, but these are sure-fire ways to get you feeling a little bit more comfortable in the skin you’re in.
